The mission of the 186 Project is simple, remove from our schools leftist indoctrination, racist propaganda intended to make children feel inferior/superior and any other blatant use of control
and influence to move children to a moral or philosophical position far from what parents and grandparents intend for their children.
In the fall of 2020, I began hearing very disturbing things about what was going on in Norman schools and other school districts around the state. Like any person of Christian faith
(or probably any other faith or no faith) I knew what I was hearing was wrong, most especially when being laid on the shoulders of children. Some schools, like Norman, and some teachers,
like some in Norman, were using their positions of control and influence to push anti-Christian teachings through the only library choice children have,
thru their teachings in class, thru Critical Race Theory, Equity or whatever racial hatred propaganda they chose at the time, and other methods such as report topics and reading recommendations.
I was certain God would have something to say about this, but it was when several friends recommended watching The Chosen, the story of Christ and his disciples, when I heard exactly what God
had to say on this topic. When it comes to children The Chosen episode 3 was highly recommended and as my children mean absolutely everything to me, I was looking forward to this episode. And when
the Christ character quoted Christ from Matthew 18:6, I knew this applied directly to what was going on in our schools.
Matthew 18:6 – "
…But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned
in the depths of the sea.
"
It is true that Christ has much to say on sin, and occasionally on punishment for sin, but it is very easy to see that this particular sin, leading children to sin, is one that is
horrific in the eyes of Christ. Why a school or a teacher would want to lead a child away from God and to lifestyles that clearly are against what God teaches, baffles me completely,
but it is going on in a big way. Clearly those that would use their power, control, and influence to lead a child astray are bound for hell, but according to Christ their path to hell is
one of extreme misery. Most may not realize what and how large a millstone is in the context of the New Testament, but a quick internet search will show you that a millstone weighed
thousands of pounds and would take you to the depths of the ocean very quickly.
Whether you are a person of Christian Faith, any other faith or just prefer our schools not be used to indoctrinate children we ask you to become a part of the 18:6 Project. Let our children be taught morality and faith (or no faith) at home, and demand our schools focus on reading, writing, arithmetic, and the other basic educational building blocks.
